Some of the most commonly asked questions...
What do the cards cost?
All cards that you’ll see throughout the
catalog (except the vintage corner card and custom cards) are the same price. As you buy more, the cost per card goes down.
Do the greeting cards come with the photos shown in your catalog?
No. The photos are used as a "model" only.We sell the cardstock with
windows cut out for you to place your own photographs behind.
Do I send in my slides, negatives or digital files along with my order?
No. We do not process any prints.We sell the cardstock with windows
cut out for you to place your own photos that you have made at your
local photo processing lab or on your own computer.
Do any of your cards have sayings on the inside?
No. All of our cards are blank on the inside. However, imprinting is
available.
What is on the back of the cards?
Most of our stock cards* have the "Original Photo By" back shown at the right. Exceptions to this are the all purpose & blank back cards (which are totally blank on the back). These are noted throughout the catalog. Custom cards can have whatever you’d like on the back.
*A stock card is any card shown in our catalog. In other words, a card that is not custom.
Are all stock cards available in all colors and window openings?
No. Stock cards are only available exactly as you see them in our catalog, in both horizontal and vertical formats. The color of cardstock used is indicated with each card.
How big are your cards?
The outside dimension of all of our cards is 5"x7". This is an
industry standard "A-7" greeting card.
What is the difference between window sizes?
There are four different window opening sizes available...large window (both horizontal and vertical opening size?is 5-5/8" x 3-5/8") use a 4"x 6" print; small window (horizontal opening size
is 4-11/16" x 3-1/8", vertical opening size is 3-5/16" x 4-1/2") use a 3-1/2" x 5" or cropped 4" x 6" print; and oval (both horizontal and vertical opening size is 5-1/8" x 3-5/8" at widest points) use a 4" x 6" print. Our newest card is our center-cut card. This window opening is similar in size to our small window card. The opening measures 4-5/8" x 3-1/8" and is centered within the card. Use a 3-1/2" x 5" or cropped 4" x 6" print. See diagram.
What is horizontal and vertical?
Horizontal is wider than it is tall. Also called landscape. Vertical is taller than it is wide. Also called portrait. See below.
What is a set of cards?
A set is 10 identical cards. Not a mix of 5 horizontal and 5 vertical. If you want less than 10 identical cards then they are considered individual cards at a cost of $1.59 each.
Are envelopes included in the cost of the cards?
Yes, each card comes with an envelope. (Natural Cardstock cards come with natural envelopes, all other colors come with bright white envelopes).
When can I expect my order?
We process most stock card orders within 2 working days. Then, shipping time depends on where you live. Ask our customer service representatives when placing your order.We ship smaller orders through the US postal service, and larger orders through UPS, in most instances. Express shipping is available - call for details.
How much postage is required to mail each card?
A finished card, with photo and envelope, weighs less than one ounce. Only 1 first class stamp is required.
